HEND_SABRI Rasha Salti
Canada

Rasha Salti was born in 1969 in Toronto. She is a researcher, writer, and curator of art and film. She co-curated many film programs at public institutions, including ArteEast, Lincoln Center and Museum of Modern Art in New York, and collaborated with film festivals as a programmer, such as the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival. Since 2017, she is the commissioning editor for La Lucarne at ArteFrance, a program dedicated to experimental documentary. Her curatorial projects were exhibited at numerous international public institutions, including Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende in Santiago de Chile, the Sursock Museum in Beirut.

Edouard Mills-Affif is a French documentary filmmaker who has directed about fifteen documentary films, including: La Cité des pieds noirs (La Cinquiéme, 52’, 1997), Au pays des gueules noires, la fabrique du Front national (France 3, 52’, 2003), Vu a la télé, la saga des immigrés (France 5, 2x52’, 2005), Ya Mamma (Radio Canada, 72’, 2008), Nouvelle vague (France 5, 52’, 2012), Bassin miné (Public Sénat, 78’, 2014), La Fiancée du Nil (France 3, LCP, 2 M Maroc, 63’, 2015), Les Raccrocheurs (Public Sénat, 68’, 2018), Dar Taliba (2M Maroc, France 3, 60’, 2020).

Doctor in history, he has taught at the University of Montreal, the University of Aix-Marseille, and the University of Paris, where he is currently a lecturer in the master’s degree «Documentary: writing of the contemporary world».

HEND_SABRI Nadia Touijer
Tunisia

Nadia Touijer, born in Tunis in 1976, studied editing at the Insas Brussels.

She has edited several Tunisian and foreign films.

She has directed several documentary films and fictions and provides expert coaching in editing and directing on workshops or projects in post-production.

HEND_SABRI Jumana Manna
Palestine

Jumana Manna is a Palestinian artist working primarily with film and sculpture. Her work explores how power is articulated through relationships, often focusing on the body and materiality in relation to narratives of state building, and histories of place. Manna received a BFA from the National Academy of Arts in Oslo and an MA in Aesthetics and Politics from California Institute of the Arts. She has participated in multiple festivals and exhibitions, including the Viennale International Film Festival, BAFICI, IFFR Rotterdam, Tate Modern, Marrakech Biennale 6 and The Nordic Pavilion,and 57th Venice Biennale. Her 2015 documentary A Magical Substance Flows Into Me (premiered in Berlinale Forum, 2016) won Films on Art Competition, at the New Horizons International Film Festival, Wroclaw. Manna was awarded the A.M. Qattan Foundation’s Young Palestinian Artist Award in 2012, the Ars Viva Prize for Visual Arts and was nominated for the Preis der Nationalgalerie fiir junge Kunst in 2017.

HEND_SABRI Ghassen Salhab
Lebanon

Born in Dakar, Senegal. In addition to making his own films, he collaborates on various scenarios and teaches film in Lebanon. He has directed eight full-length films: Beyrouth Fantôme, Terra Incognita, The Last Man, 1958, The Mountain, The Valley, An open Rose/Warda and The river ... in addition to numerous “essays” and different “video works”, including (Posthumous), Chinese ink, Son Image, and Le voyage immobile, with Mohamed Soueid. La Rochelle International Film Festival, JCC Carthage and La Cinémathèque du Québec made a tribute to his work. He has also published different texts and articles in various magazines, and two books: “fragments du Livre du naufrage” and “à contre-jour (depuis Beyrouth)”
